FLUKE 2008
By Dollar Bin • Apr 16th, 2008 • Category: Shows
On Saturday April 12th the Dollar Bin road crew ventured to lovely Athens, Georgia for the annual Fluke mini-comics convention. It was our first visit to this fine event, but as you can begin to tell from our conversations with Heroes Con Creative Director Dustin Harbin and our friends J Chris Campbell (who created the artwork to the left) and Duane Ballenger from Wide Awake Press, it certainly won’t be our last. All that, our thoughts on the event, what little comics we read last week, and yes, even more on this edition of the Dollar Bin.

It sounded like you guys had a lot of fun at Fluke. I wish we had something similar here. The idea that anyone that pays admission can setup at a table is awesome. I think it really take what the celebrity aspect out of being at a show. Between this and listening to Paul Dini and Misty Lee go on and on in the first episode of Almost Live (I heard Adam talking it up in an earlier episode) about getting out there and just doing it, I think I have to start work on some mini-comics.
Thanks for another great show.
