Back at Free Comic Book Day (Richard’s Comics and Collectables) 2008 Adam was able to catch J Chris Campbell in the act of drawing out a 3 Minute Robot.
At the 2008 Small Press Expo, Adam decided to do a walkthrough of the convention floor.
Last Saturday was the Greenville Comic-Con and the Dollar Bin assembled a full posse to swarm the event and enjoy the show. And enjoy it we did thanks to the awesomeness of Wide Awake Press, Cute Girl Demographics, all of the great dealers and of course everyone that attended the event. Take a listen to this weeks show to get an abbreviated feel for our GCC 08’ experience as well as something from the Dollar Bin newswire.

It started in the 90’s…crazy, wacky, special comic covers the industry labeled “variants”. You see them every week in your comic shop and for a variety of prices. But what does Richard, owner of Richard’s Comic and Collectables, think of them as both a retailer and a fan? All you have to do to find out is press play!

This past week Devin and Adam rolled on up to Bethesda, MD to attend SPX. While there all sortsa fun stuff occurred including Devin getting sick and puking. To make up for a lack of sweet Devin/Adam wrap up commentary on the ride home Adam recorded his wrap up discussion with the Shawn Reynolds of Hereos Aren’t Hard to Find in this pseudo edition of the Dollar Bin.
Don’t worry. Vy took lotsa good pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cynnova/
We’re going to have some great video from this even thanks to the mad genius of J Chris Campbell

Every week the Dollar Bin Comics Podcast brings you insightful podcasts and articles about comics. No, seriously, they do. I really mean it.
Join Andrew Aydin (March/Run), Jonathan Marks Barravechia (Bear Pirate Viking Queen), Matthew K Manning (Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures, Marvel Action: Avengers), Laura Martin (colorist, if you are a fan of the Dollar Bin podcast, you know who she is), and Chris Sparks (Team Cul De Sac) for insights and updates as we launch the kickstarter campaign to fund this momentous work and begin the work of giving voice to Appalachia through comics.
We’re back and we are kicking things off with Shawn talking about her trip to the annual Borderlands Comics and Games sale. She talks hanging out with J Chris Campbell and picking up a few comics along the way.
Since the day we met Jim Rugg at Heroes Aren't Hard to Find as part of the Afrodesiac tour, he has been a favorite of the Dollar Bin. It is funny to realize that over the last 8 or so years, this is the first Dollar Bin vs Jim Rugg interview.
